Sadly after a long wait for the World Bowls Championships to start, it comes to an end all too soon.

Another day of excellent bowling, Australia won the Gold medal in the Women’s Triples, although hard fought New Zealand played some brilliant bowls but unfortunately had to settle with the Silver.

Silver: Leeane Poulson, Tayla Bruce & Val Smith (New Zealand)

Bronze: Joanna Cooper, Baylee Van Steijn & Emma Boyd (Canada)

Bronze: Sophie McIntyre, Shauna O’Neill & Chloe Wilson (Ireland)

Men’s Singles did not disappoint Ryan Bester (Canada) took the Gold in a spectacular game against Gary Kelly (Ireland).

Bronze: Iain McLean (Scotland)

New Zealand’s women taking overall trophy for best performed women’s team, Australia’s men taking out the overall men’s trophy and Australia also collecting the inaugural para team trophy last week.

As supporters of this wonderful game, we have been fortunate to witness some incredible bowls throughout the last 12 days, the pinnacle of our sport did not disappoint.
